Prayer for Back to School

School is beginning soon, and as we do each year, we want to make sure that the family here at CFC is praying. We want to intentionally lift up students, teachers, administrators, cafeteria workers, support staff, janitors, bus drivers, homeschool families, and anyone else starting the school year. We praise God for each person involved and for the privilege we have for students to be a part of an education process. Please pray for a safe and successful year!

For parents: We invite you – and will even help you – to pray intentionally for the hearts and minds of your students whether they’re stepping into preschool for the first time, navigating grade school or middle school, or heading off to high school or college. We have attached a back-to-school guide by Melissa Kruger that provides 10 simple, scripture-based prompts drawn from Psalms and Proverbs designed especially for parents. Each prayer point helps you entrust your child to the Lord—asking Him for wisdom, courage, joy, and faith along the way.

As our church walks through the Songs for the Soul sermon series, this resource is a timely way to let God’s Word shape not only our worship, but also our prayers. CLICK HERE for the downloadable prayer guide.

We also wanted to share with you that we had a great summer of camp in Kids and Student Ministries. These camps were amazing for preteen, middle school, and high school students, and we praise God for how He worked! Our students built lasting friendships while learning more about the love and character of our great God. Our leaders were able to invest in our students in a way that will pay dividends throughout the school year. We saw students place their faith in Jesus for the first time and students renewing their fire to share the hope that they have in Jesus with their friends who don’t know Him. We are so thankful for our volunteers and our CFC Kids and Student Ministry teams who poured themselves out for the name of Jesus to be lifted high!

We can't wait to worship with you this Sunday!
