The Hardest Days - Prayer for the Millers in Spain

“The hardest days we have experienced in Spain” - Special Prayer for the Millers

We often say that our missionaries – our global staff family – are going to the ends of the earth to proclaim Christ as if they are hanging off the end of a rope on the edge of the world. If they are fulfilling that role, then our job is to hold the other end of the rope. In this season,  we want to especially “hold the rope” through prayer for the Miller family (Noel, Patricia, Eliana, and Zeke). They have been serving in Madrid, Spain since 2017.

Noel and Patricia recently reported to us that their school community in Spain is recovering from a tragedy, as someone there unexpectedly passed away. Due to the way that this has impacted their family life and ministry, Noel shared with us that they have been led to reflect on how these “days have been the hardest we’ve experienced in Spain” and at the school where he disciples students. This tragedy has rocked their community to the core. At the same time, he said he has been reminded of why they are there, and this has reaffirmed their sense of calling to be there so that more people can become a part of God’s global family. Noel and Patricia shared that we as a church family can pray for healing for the family who lost a loved one, for the students to share their feelings and receive God’s wisdom, for students who may be wrestling with depression to open up and get the help they need, for God to protect them from the lies of the enemy, for Eliana and Zeke (who have had to process the grief around them), and finally Noel said, “Pray for Patricia and me. We are exhausted from the grief and supporting others. We need rest and energy. Pray for the Lord to renew our strength like eagles. Thank you all. We need you and appreciate you deeply.”

CFC, we are so thankful for you, and we know that you are lifting up these dear members of our global staff up to the Lord, who is eager to hear our requests. We look forward to worshiping our Lord with you this weekend!
