TOGETHER - Membership at CFC
Over the past 2 months, we’ve talked a lot about membership at CFC. Dale even gave 4 messages in January from Acts about what it means to be a member of a church. We LEARN together, BELONG together, WORSHIP together, and PRAY together.
Our staff and leadership want to be accountable to you, our members. In a church our size, it’s sometimes hard to foster that. Much of the rationale for changing the membership process comes down to a desire to better know who our leaders are accountable for, to help our members better understand their role in the church, and to better serve our members.
If you have signed the membership covenant anytime since 2021, then we already know that we are accountable to you as a member. For others, if you consider yourself part of the CFC Family, we pray that you are planning to take the next steps toward membership. We offered the first step, the Intro to CFC Class, recently.
The second step is the Membership Class on March 16 from 12-2:30PM. Because we are offering lunch and childcare, we need everyone to sign up by THIS SUNDAY, March 9. You can sign up HERE. (Note: if you didn’t attend the most recent Intro to CFC Class, but we have a record of you attending in the past couple of years, then that counts. Contact Shawna Hampton if you need to check that info.)
You can see the full schedule of 2025 Intro to CFC and Membership classes HERE.
Part of this renewed commitment to caring for our members is that we’re asking you to check in each week. That’s why we’ve made it easier for you. If a member hasn’t checked in for a few weeks, we’re going to check in on them to be sure they’re okay. So, be sure to check in if you don’t want to hear from us! You can read about the new check-in process HERE.
To sum it up:
Thank you for being a part of the CFC family! We can’t wait to see you this Sunday!
