Study Questions for June 1, 2025

John 1:1-3 describes Jesus as the Word through whom all things were created.
  • How does contemplating the vastness of God’s creation (e.g., the universe, nature, or even human life) deepen your awe of Him? 
  • Share a specific moment when you felt overwhelmed by God’s creative power.

In Mark 10:13-16, Jesus welcomes the children and says the kingdom of God belongs to those who come to Him like a child.
  • What does it mean to have childlike faith in your relationship with God? 
  • How can you cultivate this kind of trust in your daily life?

"The Word" of John 1, Jesus, values the seemingly insignificant, like the children in Mark 10.
  • Who are the “small” or overlooked people in your life or community? 
  • How can you reflect God’s heart by showing them love and attention this week?

We are regularly invited to magnify God through awe and worship, as Mary did in Luke 1:46 (“My soul magnifies the Lord”).
  • What practices (e.g., prayer, gratitude, or observing creation) help you focus on God’s greatness? 
  • How can your group encourage each other to make these a regular part of life?

How is it possible to magnify an already infinite God.  It seems too simple to magnify God by reflecting His character to others, and yet that is exactly what we see Jesus doing in Mark 10.
  • How can your actions, words, or choices this week demonstrate God’s love and character to those around you? 
  • Share one practical step you can take to live this out.
