Pack a Shoebox

It's back! Thank you, CFC, for your participation in Operation Christmas Child over the last several years. We’re ready and excited to see God work through you as we do this again!
 
Last year, God used His people as OCC collected 11,330,126 shoebox gifts (10,051,570 in the U.S.) from more than 84,000 churches – including CFC. That’s the most that has ever been packed and donated nationwide! 
 
If you haven’t participated in this collection at CFC previously, here is some important info to know:

• Many children receiving a shoebox have never received a Christmas gift before.
• Each shoebox gift is a gospel opportunity. The Good News of Jesus is presented verbally with flip charts by trained local church leaders. “The Greatest Gift” booklet is also inserted into each box at Samaritan’s Purse Processing Centers.
• Children are also offered the opportunity to participate in a 12-week discipleship program explaining Biblical principles that children can easily understand called “The Greatest Journey.”
• It is estimated that, on average, each of “The Greatest Gift” booklets is read by 13 people because it is passed around among family and neighbors. Many people learn about our Savior from the shoebox of gifts you pack!

CFC, thank you for providing gifts that bring an eternal impact to so many. We will be handing out shoeboxes on the next two Sundays (November 10 and 17), and you can return yours to us anytime between now and Sunday, November 24. If you are able to contribute this year or not, here are some ways for you to pray:  
 
Prayer Points:

• That the items you pick out for your box will safely get to just the right child.
• That each child, their family, and their neighbors will read “The Greatest Gift” booklet and understand who Jesus is and what He has done for them.
• That the Holy Spirit will draw many to Christ.
• That God will receive glory through the entire “Journey of a Shoebox” process.
