Read Luke 15:11-20a
As you read the parable of the prodigal son (particularly this section of the parable - and the story of the youngest son), how does it compare and contrast to the two earlier parables in Luke 15?
What adjectives would you use to describe the son’s demand of the father in verses 11 and 12? Why did you choose the word(s) you did?
Dale often quotes this - Sin will take you further than you ever wanted to stray - cost you more than you ever dreamed you would pay - keep you longer than you ever thought you would stay! Where have you seen that in your life or in the lives of someone you know?
How do verses 17-20a lay out for us the example of what it takes to come home?
