WHO - All high school students (grades 9-12) are invited to apply.

WHAT - R & R (Refuge & Restore) Mission Trip
This Fall Break domestic missions opportunity is for our High School students in 2026.  On this trip, our team will meet global refugee families who have made St. Louis their home after escaping war and political oppression in their home country.  We will also be the hands and feet of Jesus as we learn how to restore homes through assembling wheelchair ramps and lifts for elderly or disabled members of a physically impoverished community.  

DATES –Friday, October 9- Tuesday, October 13, 2026

WHERE - New City Fellowship in St. Louis. Workday Ministries will host our team in dorm-style facilities.  They will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  

COST - $375, with a $25 deposit due with application. All who are accepted to the team will send out support letters to raise funds and prayer support. You can pay the $25 deposit after completing your application HERE.

This includes:
  • Lodging from Friday evening through Tuesday morning
  • Food provided Friday through Tuesday morning
  • Work project expenses
  • A hoodie for each team member
  • Transportation costs (vans & cars)
  • Fun activity & 2 meals out

PARTICIPANT PRE-TRIP TIME COMMITMENT:
  • Student & Parent Meeting: September 13 (4:30-5:30 PM)
  • Team Meetings: September 27th (4:00-5:30PM) &  October 4 (4:00-5:30PM)  

Before applying for the trip, please read this information carefully. If you have questions prior to filling out your application, contact team leader LISA RADKE.

FORMS:
  • If you have NOT been on a CFC short-term trip in the last 5 years, please fill out the R & R St Louis Application HERE. Only use the form below if you have been on a CFC trip in the last 5 years.
  • Fill out all of the required information on the form. If it does not apply, put N/A for “not applicable.”
  • You will be asked to provide references. If you are active at CFC, they should be your ministry leaders here.
  • Note the application DEADLINE given for the trip. Applications might not be considered after that date.
  • If you are under 18 at the time you are filling out the application, the form must also be signed by a parent.

FINANCES:
  • A DEPOSIT is required for each trip before your application is considered complete. The deposit is $100 for international trips and $25 for domestic trips. 
    • After you complete the form, you can pay the deposit online HERE.
    • You can also pay the deposit by check, but please be sure you put the name of the person applying and the trip name (John Doe, XYZ trip) in the memo line. Please give the check to the team leader or to the bookkeeping department at CFC. 
    • This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE unless you are not selected for the team or the trip is cancelled.
  • Please carefully read YOUR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
    • You are responsible for raising funds well in advance of the trip in order to purchase plane tickets, etc. Although we raise funds as a team, you are expected to actively raise support from your family and friends. If your funding is insufficient, and the team has also not met its goal, the remaining amount is your responsibility.
    • You are responsible for the cost of your passport, immunizations, and some other items during travel, as well as personal items needed for the trip.

TEAM SELECTION AND TRAINING:
  • You may be asked to interview to be a part of the team. Not only does this clarify any questions that you might have as well as acquaint you to the process of team-building, but it also helps us get to know you and helps the team leaders and CFC Global Outreach Team know if this trip is a good fit for you at this time.
  • Training to go on a trip is part of a discipleship process. There will be several team meetings prior to the trip as well as a debrief after.
  • Once you have completed the application and submitted your deposit by the TRIP APPLICATION DEADLINE, you will hear from the team leader with next steps.

If selected to be a part of a CFC Short-Term Team, I make a commitment to:
•go through the training process before and after the trip.
•conduct myself in a manner worthy of the Lord while serving Him on this project.
•submit to the authority of the team leader(s), on-field host(s), and CFC leadership.
•refrain from any behavior that may compromise my witness for Christ such as inappropriate language or clothing, alcohol/drug use, etc.

YOUR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Please give the check to the team leader or to the bookkeeping department at CFC. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE unless you are not selected for the team or the trip is cancelled.

•You are responsible for the cost of your passport, immunizations, and some other items during travel, as well as personal items needed for the trip.
I agree to pay all remaining balances on my account PRIOR to departure of the trip. Additionally, if I remove myself or am removed from the team prior to departure, I agree to pay all remaining balances in my account for the incurred expenses including airline tickets purchased in my name. Also, if at any time while on the trip my behavior constitutes a problem, the team leader has the authority to ask me to return home. Any additional costs incurred as a result of this action will be at my own expense.
