Giving FAQs

Who is CFC’s third-party giving platform:
As of October 2024, we use Tithely. They currently serve over 39,000 churches around the country, including many of the nation’s largest churches.

How do I migrate my giving to Tithely?
If you have an automatic recurring donation, it should migrate without your intervention. If you have a question or don’t see that it does migrate, please contact our Accounting office at 812-867-6464.

For those who give manually online, you will need to create a new profile (login and password) on the Tithely platform and re-establish your banking or credit card information.

Are my donations tax-deductible?
Christian Fellowship Church is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations that we receive are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. Please consult a tax professional if you have questions about the deductibility of your contributions. The IRS considers any tax deductible donation to be irrevocable and unconditional.

Can I designate my gift to a particular department or ministry?
We accept gifts designated to only a few specific accounts. These include tithes and offerings, missions general, approved missionaries and projects, and benevolence. All other CFC ministries are funded by your gifts to tithes and offerings.

How often do you send giving statements?
Giving statements are mailed each January for the previous year. If you have moved recently or had a name change because of an updated marital status, please send us your updated information using the contact form below.

Is my giving record confidential?
In general, all information concerning donations to Christian Fellowship Church is considered confidential and does not leave the Accounting office. One exception is missionary support teams; we provide our missionaries with a record of those who contribute to their support.

Is my information secure when I give online?
CFC values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. CFC will not disclose your name, address, e-mail address or phone number without your express consent, unless disclosure is necessary to comply with laws or relevant legal proceedings. What forms of payment do you accept online?
We accept electronic check or Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, and American Express credit/debit cards.

Are there fees associated with giving online?
You are not charged any fees to give online. However, when you make an online gift with a credit or debit card, Christian Fellowship Church incurs fees that typically range from 2.5% to 3.5%. These are normal card processing fees and cannot be avoided. Donations made via Bill Pay do not have any fees associated with them.

Can I schedule recurring donations?
Yes. You have many options for recurring contributions. This includes one time, weekly, biweekly, monthly, yearly, etc. Choose the option you want from the donation page.

Can I edit my existing recurring donation?
Yes. Log in to your account and click the “Recurring” tab at the top of the Giving form. You should see your recurring donation, and you can make changes from there.s.

Can I test this by giving one time?
Yes. Unless you specify a recurring donation, your contribution will only occur once.

Can I see what I've given in the past?
Yes. All of your giving (including any cash or check giving) is recorded in your account and is accessible from the "Giving History" tab when you're logged into your giving account.

If we want people to get out of debt, why does Christian Fellowship Church accept credit card donations?
Used within the parameters, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people now utilize them in place of cash or checks, and then pay off the balance in full each month. For these people, we offer the option of using a credit or debit card for their convenience. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from exercising this option.
