GRAPHIC & VISUAL
DESIGNER

 Hours: Full-time, salaried - 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, some Sundays)

Accountability: Creative Arts Team Leader (CATL)

Position Summary
Primarily responsible for the creation of graphic arts content throughout CFC and its ministries. Collaborates with ministry personnel to create graphic/visual artwork for website, app, social media, bulletin, events, ministry events, promotional materials, logos/graphics, video integration, special projects. etc.

Primary Functions
  • Primary designer of graphic art throughout CFC - as coordinated through Communications Director (Communication, Graphic, and Project requests) and CATL 
  • Collaborate effectively with ministry personnel to develop design solutions 
  • Manage these projects within a well-defined and outlined timeline (maintains calendar) 
  • Manages and coordinates the branding and logos of CFC and it’s ministries 
  • Quality control of artwork, images, and information  and ensure copyright compliance and have permissions as warranted 
  • Provides graphic elements to support Teaching Pastor (sermon series and other elements) 

Secondary Functions 
  • Maintains, provides content, and programs digital signage through the facility (will train) 
  • Maintain, utilize and oversee accounts/memberships used for obtaining images, content, etc 
  • Fosters relationships with ministry leaders and staff 
  • Monitor trends in design, graphics, etc. Consistently develop skills and grow in creative excellence and ability 
  • Occasional - simple video production, editing and digital graphic manipulation (can be trained if necessary) 
  • Staff contact for worship center lighting volunteers. Works with team captains to schedule volunteers. Will be trained to have baseline programming knowledge. Engages with volunteers and lay leaders regarding visual aesthetics in worship services 
  • Collaborate with stage design team when called upon 
  • Primary contact with related outside vendors 
  • Provide relevant content (files, graphics, etc) to videographers as warranted 
  • Work with photography team to incorporate and solicit photos (as needed) 
  • Projects as determined by supervisor (CATL) and/or Executive Director of Ministry 

Qualifications 
  • Passion for graphic design in a fast-moving, collaborative environment 
  • Proficiency in graphic design software as well as Microsoft Office 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative aptitude (flair), broad array of styles, good grasp of current design concepts and techniques, and high skill level in digital and print design 
  • Knowledge of branding and ability to create consistent visuals across platforms 
  • Strong understanding of design principles and attention to detail
  • Efficient project manager who is highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Independent worker who requires minimal supervision 
  • Some skill (or intuitive ability to learn) in areas of video production/editing and lighting 
  • Able to process feedback from co-workers in a constructive way 
  • Active listening skills 
  • Commitment to vision and mission of CFC (signed doctrinal statement) 
  • A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ that exhibits spiritual maturity

Outcomes: High-quality, professional graphic design and visual art throughout CFC’s ministries, facilities, worship services, materials, and website. A graphic/visual “department” that is creative, collaborative, efficient, responsive, personable, flexible, committed to excellence, and consistent with CFC’s mission and vision.
