Adult Ministry
Hours: Salaried, Generally 40-45 hours per week
Accountability: Executive Director of Ministry
Position Summary
This person will be responsible for oversight of all adult ministry (post-college through older adults) at Christian Fellowship Church, leading and equipping a team of employees and volunteers to work in the different areas of adult ministry. They will champion CFC’s mission to “glorify God by making disciples of all nations,” ensuring that adult ministries reflect this mission in theory and practice.

Primary Functions
- Champion discipleship culture in the church, ensuring that all adult ministries align with the mission to make disciples
- Provide oversight to the Adult Ministry Team, ensuring that each area of adult ministry is working towards the same mission of discipleship, working collaboratively to accomplish this goal
- Provide ongoing support, training, and development for the staff on the Adult Ministry Team
- Recruit and facilitate training for volunteers in all areas of adult ministry
- Design and oversee training in biblical and theological study, spiritual formation, discipleship, and leadership development, ensuring that resources are available to the congregation
- Curate recommended resources for use by small groups and individuals in the areas of biblical and theological study, spiritual formation, discipleship, and leadership development
- Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to maintain accurate organization and records of small group, short term-courses, 1 on 1 discipleship, volunteer management, and other necessary functions of a thriving ministry
- Serve on the leadership team, championing adult ministry and discipleship, collaborating as a team player in the overall leadership of CFC
Secondary Functions
- Serve as a resource for small group leaders with difficult small group situations
- Assist with other areas of ministry at CFC when necessary and appropriate
- All other duties as assigned by Executive Director of Ministry
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience leading a ministry team with a discipleship focus
- Ability to recruit, train, and manage a large team of both employees and volunteers
- Ability to select, implement, and utilize ministry-related software to organize and facilitate a healthy and growing ministry environment
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working on staff at a church preferred
- Humble, coachable, and teachable. A team player with a heart for ministry
- Demonstrate the biblical qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
- Seminary degree preferred
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus
