Stewarding the Future
God is doing incredible things at Christian Fellowship Church, and we are deeply grateful. We see lives being transformed! Our people are growing in faith, serving one another, and giving generously. As elders, we thank God for His faithfulness and for each person who joyfully serves Jesus and His church.
Growth brings new opportunities and responsibilities. Over the past 1 ½ years, the elders have spent significant time praying, listening, and seeking God’s direction for the future of CFC. That work became our strategic plan, which is helping us begin to envision the next chapter of our church’s story. Through this process, one conviction has become clear: We want to be a spiritually unified church where discipleship produces genuine life change.
Our Vision Statement remains the same: “Glorifying God by Making Disciples of All People.” We don’t want to simply add programs or stay busy; rather, we want to see people becoming more like Christ, growing in faith, deepening relationships, and living out the gospel. We want growth to mean more than fuller rooms; it should mean deeper faith, stronger relationships, lives changed by the gospel, and more people sent to serve Jesus.
We are asking you to pray with us that God would give us wisdom and unity as we seek God’s direction. Pray that He would help us faithfully steward everything He has entrusted to us – our people, our resources, and our opportunities. Also, pray about how CFC can expand our capacity and reach without losing what matters most, including our commitment to Biblical truth, genuine relationships, spiritual formation, and a unified focus on Jesus.
Most importantly, we want the things we are praying for and pursuing to be evident in the life of CFC – not simply words on a page or ideas in a strategic plan. We want them to be reflected in how we live, serve, disciple, lead, worship, and care for one another. We want people to see the fruit of what God is doing among us, not just hear us talk about it.
Ultimately, our prayer is not simply that CFC would become a larger church. Rather, our prayer is that God would continue shaping us into a unified, Spirit-led church where people are growing, serving, giving, reaching others, and experiencing real life change through Jesus. We are grateful for what God has done, excited about what He is doing, and prayerful about what He may choose to do through us in the years ahead.
