She Does

"Moral worth; virtue" (Proverbs 31:10) חַיִל

Proverbs 31:25-28
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
   and suffers nothing from laziness.
28 Her children stand and bless her.
   Her husband praises her.

For most of us, she was the first to "do for one." Often enough, she still does.

She Does
She knows who she is and Whose she is. (31:25a)

Psalm 93:1
The LORD is king! He is robed in majesty.
Indeed, the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength.
The world stands firm
   and cannot be shaken.

She Does
  • She knows who she is and Whose she is. (31:25a)
  • She knows the One who holds the future. (31:25b)
  • Her words have weight because her life has roots. (31:26)

2 Timothy 1:1-5
1 This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. I have been sent out to tell others about the life he has promised through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 I am writing to Timothy, my dear son. May God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy, and peace. 3 Timothy, I thank God for you—the God I serve with a clear conscience, just as my ancestors did. Night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4 I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again. 5 I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.

She Does
  • She knows who she is and Whose she is. (31:25a)
  • She knows the One who holds the future. (31:25b)
  • Her words have weight because her life has roots. (31:26)
  • She prioritizes her insights on family needs. (31:27)
  • She knows a life of loving service isn't a thankless job. (31:28)
