The Bible & Discipleship

At CFC, we are about Glorifying God by Making Disciples of All People. Two of our Core Values are the Bible and Discipleship because we believe God changes us as we know, trust, and obey His Word together.
 
Eugene Peterson described discipleship as “a long obedience in the same direction.” That phrase reminds us that following Jesus is not a one-time event or a journey we are meant to take alone. It is a lifelong pursuit of becoming more like Christ through the grace of God, the truth of Scripture, and meaningful relationships with other believers.
 
For that reason, discipleship needs to be an intentional part of life at CFC. One important pathway for spiritual growth is connecting with other believers through a small group or one of our discipleship ministries. In these settings, we study God’s Word, pray for one another, encourage each other, and learn to faithfully follow Jesus in everyday life.
 
We invite you to join us at the upcoming Discipleship Fair this Sunday and next. Stop by the tables before or after services for an opportunity to meet our leaders, learn more about the discipleship opportunities available at CFC, and find a next step that fits you.

Groups meet every day of the week and at a variety of times, which makes it much more likely that you can find one to fit your schedule and season of life.
