What We Believe | Our foundation
What we believe is the DNA that makes up who we are as a church family. It determines what we do and explains why we do it. Our core values are anchored firmly upon the foundational beliefs in the sovereignty of God and the supremacy of Christ which have been revealed in God’s authoritative Word. These eternal and unchanging truths affirm that we exist to bring glory to God in all things. It can be summarized this way:
We Believe:
>> the Bible is God’s inspired word.
>> there is one God that exists in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
>> all people are created in God’s image, but cannot enter the kingdom of God because of sin.
>> Jesus’ death on the cross paid the price for our sin and faith in Him alone reconciles us with God.
>> we are called to live a life set apart for Christ.
>> we are to spread the good news of Jesus to everyone, everywhere.
>> Jesus is going to return someday.
We Value:
>> prayer.
>> reaching lost people.
>> heartfelt, corporate worship of God.
>> the explanation and practical application of biblical truth.
>> the maturing of believers into Christlikeness.
>> humble, servant leadership.
>> responsible management of time, talent and treasure.
>> authentic, biblical community.
