Dan has been with Campus Crusade for Christ for nearly five years. He is currently part of a team that documents how God is moving around the world through The JESUS Film Project. His team uses photographs and videos to share stories of lives changed because of Christ. Dan has traveled to over a dozen countries in the last few years and seen how God is calling people to Himself everywhere, whether in European cities or African villages.

Hannah has been with Campus Crusade for seven years. She ministers to college students at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She is energized by mentoring and developing younger women spiritually for the purpose of helping them understand the gospel more fully. There is an urgent need for college students to hear and grasp the gospel as they are in a life stage that will set the patterns that will impact them for much of their lives.

Dan grew up here at CFC, and they were married last August.  They hope to go back onto the field in March.

April 8^th, 1983.
Steve Jobs is desperately trying to recruit the 38 year old CEO of Pepsi, John Scully, to lead Apple into the future.  He has wined him and dined him, and he has offered Scully ridiculous amounts of money to get him to leave Pepsi, all to no avail.  Finally, Jobs takes Scully to the window of his office high above the ground.  As they look out over the world beneath them, Jobs asks Scully, “Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water or do you want a chance to change the world?”  It was that challenge that convinced Scully to leave the comfort of his position at Pepsi.  He wanted an opportunity to “change the world.”

So do I.  I want to be a world changer because Jesus was a world changer.  As great an impact as Apple has had on our culture in the last thirty years of human history, its impact pales in comparison to the impact Jesus has had on human history and will have on the future of humanity.

Want to be a world changer too?  Here’s a suggestion.  Start looking at the people in your relational world through redemptive eyes.  World changers don’t just see a mean boss, a weird neighbor, or a person of another race.  World changers see beneath the surface to the soul that lies beneath. C.S. Lewis once wrote, “There are no ordinary people.  You have never talked to a mere mortal.  Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations – these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat.  But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit – immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.”

This free class is 4th in a series of classes presented by the Healthy Living Ministry of Christian Fellowship Church. Each class in the series covers different material. Everyone is welcome. No registration is necessary. Bring a friend!

Ingredients:
1 lb. raw lean ground turkey
One 29-oz. can tomato sauce
One 14.5-oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
One 15-oz. can chili beans (pinto beans in chili sauce), undrained
One 15-oz. can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
3/4 cup canned sweet corn, drained
4 – 5 canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped, sauce reserved
2 bell peppers (in different colors), chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
2 tsp. minced garlic
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 oz. VERY dark chocolate (70%+ cacao), broken into small pieces
salt, to taste
Optional topping: fat-free sour cream

Directions:
Bring a large pan sprayed with nonstick spray to medium heat on the stove. Add turkey and spread it around in the pan to break it up a bit. Cook and crumble until meat is brown and cooked through, about 6 minutes. Drain any fat or liquid, and then transfer turkey to the crock pot.

Add all other ingredients except for the chocolate to the crock pot. Add 1 tbsp. adobo sauce (from the canned chipotles). Mix well to combine.

Cover and cook on high for 2 hours, and then reduce heat to low and cook for an additional 3 hours. (OR cover and cook on low for 6 – 7 hours straight.)

Add chocolate and stir until pieces melt and disappear into chili. Cover and cook for 1 hour longer on low. Add salt to taste. If you like, top each serving with a little sour cream. Mmmmm!!!
