CFC Kids Summer Volunteers

Thank you to all of our CFC Kids volunteers who serve so faithfully throughout the school year. Now, let’s let some of them have the summer off to refresh before starting back up this fall.
Can you volunteer in the nursery, toddler, or elementary classrooms? You don’t have to serve every week, and we’ll find the best fit for you. The summer session starts June 2 lasts for about 8 weeks.
Go to onlinecfc.com/cfckids, and click on the Volunteer tab to sign up. Questions? Contact Mike Lagenour.
Serving as a Wedding Representative

Enjoy the glory of God’s love through marriage again and again by serving as a wedding representative at CFC.
Our wedding reps usually help with 1-2 weddings per year, and can be a great blessing to the happy couple by helping them with the details related to the use of the church.
You would meet with the bride to help her know what is available here at CFC for her to use, then meet again 3 weeks before wedding to finalize details. On the weekend of the wedding, you would attend both the rehearsal and the wedding, arriving about 2 hours or so before the start time to assist the couple with any last minute details regarding use of the church. Contact Sheryl Walts if interested via email or at 867-6464.

Volunteer in the Book Library
On 18, Apr 2013 | No Comments | In Serving Teams, Uncategorized | By admin
Two workers are needed for the 3rd and 4th Saturdays each month, from 5-5:30 and for about 15 minutes following evening worship. Two additional workers are needed for the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month during the 10:45 service and for about 15 minutes afterward.
Volunteers should be detail-oriented book lovers who desire to help others find resources that will build them up in their faith. If interested in serving, please contact Karen Ball to get connected.
First Impressions Greeters Coaching
On 04, Apr 2013 | No Comments | In Serving Teams | By admin
First Impressions is a team that creates a warm, welcoming environment so people can take the next steps towards God. The impact a smile has on someone on the way into church is so powerful. Being a greeter is not just holding a door for people, it is so much more.
If you would like to learn more, become a part of the team, and be a part of something bigger, you can join us for a greeters coaching session on Sunday, April 28th at 9:15AM or 10:45AM in Room 407. Denise Monroe is leading the class. If you have any questions, contact Denise.
Drive a Van

Here’s an easy way to Love God and Love People – Help them get to church! Sign up to drive the church van to pick up people who need a ride. We need 2 drivers to drive once a month on Saturday evenings (approx 4-7:30PM) and 2 drivers for once a month on Sunday mornings (approx 7:15AM for pick up and you’ll be back to CFC around 1:00 after taking everyone home).
You don’t need a CDL, just a driver’s license.
Interested? Contact Alice Casey for more info by email or at 867-6464. She works Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Hundreds of visitors will come to CFC on Easter Sunday. If you consider CFC your home church, can you serve that morning helping in the nursery, preschool, or elementary areas of the children’s ministry or as a door greeter ? We want CFC to be welcoming and friendly to our guests, so please pitch in that morning and Love God and Love People by serving in one of these areas.

Are you looking for a place to serve in the church? Here are a couple of ideas of some ministries that could use volunteers right now! Don’t worry if you don’t know how to do it, we can teach you.
>>First Impressions/Greeters – If you are friendly, and genuinely glad to welcome people to CFC on Sunday mornings or Saturday evenings, this would be a great way for you to serve. You can serve once a month, every week, or anything in between. We’ll work with your schedule. Contact Denise Monroe.
>>Coffee Shoppe - Solid Grounds Coffee Shoppe (off the gym) is a great place to serve either on Sunday mornings or weekday evenings. You can give a smile and encouragement to folks stopping by for something warm to drink. We’ll teach you how to make all of the fancy drinks, and you can work once a month, every week, or anything in between. Contact Denise Monroe.
>>Bookstore – If you have retail experience, if you can run a cash register, or if you can learn, consider serving in the bookstore off the main foyer. We have books, cards, jewelry, and other household items. You can serve once a month, every week, or anything in between. We’ll work with your schedule. Contact Denise Monroe or Andy Hanson.
>>Weekend Production Team – You don’t have to be technical to join this team, we’ll teach you! From cameras, to video production, to song lyrics, to lighting and sound, there is something that might be a good fit for you. If you have attention to detail and can pay attention, contact Paul Osburn or Mark Haymond.
>>Family Ministry – You can rock babies, play with toddlers, be a teacher or table leader for elementary kids, lead small groups or help with weekend services for middle school or high school students, or even be a part of the lives of college students. Contact Juli Gardner.
